LE Yellow Playstation 2

Sony Playstation Collection

Ladies and gents, it’s official. Because of my newfound ownership of the Playstation 3, I have finally retired my yellow PS2. No longer will it be subject to the harshest of environments (my basement). I have packed it back up into it’s original home of styrofoam and corrugate. It will be sealed inside a plastic tub with many gaming accessories that have also been retired. Ahhh, many good times with that system. Time to salute you and bid you farewell on a well deserved retirement. ^.-

I just sold mine when I was done with it (mine was just black, though). 🙂

It’s extremely rare for me to sell or trade in a game or game system. I’ve become a game collector or sorts. I used to trade in games so I could get new ones but I don’t do that anymore since finances are less of a problem now. Another reason I don’t is because trade-ins get you about $2-$10 and they turn around and sell it used for $45. How is that fair to any gamer?

I keep my old systems as well, however I’m not nearly neat enough to actually put them back in decent packaging =]

Actually, it’s not always the easiest to repackage things. I’ve just done this for so long and have quite a bit of packaging experience. Even so, it’s never easy ;(

I have a LE Yellow Ps2 to sell. Do you have an idea of how much it is worth and did you sell yours?

Nope I didn’t sell mine. It’s back in it’s original packaging and sealed in a plastic tub. I’m actually unsure if it’s worth any more than a standard PS2.

it’s only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. That’s my best answer. Sorry if that isn’t helpful.

I’d keep that, no question about it! (I think the yellow colour looks fabulous on the big, fat PS2!) I’m not familiar with this edition, though. When was it released? How much was it?

Well I’m not sure exactly when it was released but I purchased mine in the fall of 2004 for a grand total of $210.59 and that’s including a matching yellow stand. It was only available at the Playstation.com website. There were 4 other colors as well. You could pick from Red, White, Blue, Yellow or Silver. Yellow being my favorite color it was a no brainer. It looks great up close. So good in fact that I can’t tell if it’s a paint job or if it’s actually colored plastic.
